What changes by test type?
Test strips
Strips depend on dry storage. Check the use-by date, close the container immediately, keep wet fingers and splashes away from unused strips, retain the drying agent where instructed and read the strip at the exact stated time.
Liquid reagent kits
Liquid and powdered kits may use printed dates, reference solutions or both. Keep caps and tools matched to the correct reagent, prevent aquarium water or another chemical entering the bottle, and follow the required shaking and waiting times.
Digital checker consumables

Does a changed reagent colour mean it has expired?
