Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Draneka Aquarium Journal ("Draneka", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Android app and related Journal services at aquaticfinder.com. Draneka Aquarium Journal is the user-facing product name; AquaticFinder remains a technical service identity used by parts of the underlying infrastructure.
Information you provide
We process information you choose to provide so the Journal can work, including:
- account information such as your email address and account/profile details;
- aquarium records such as tanks, observations, water measurements, feeding and maintenance records, livestock records, monitoring cases, follow-ups, schedules and timestamps;
- photos or other media when you choose to add media to supported Journal features; and
- information you submit when requesting support, account deletion or other account actions.
Technical and security information
We process authentication/session information and limited technical information needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service. The Android app uses secure Android storage for session credentials and communicates with the production service over HTTPS.
The Android app may request notification permission. Your permission choice is handled by Android. That permission is used only for Journal notification functionality and is not used to collect contacts, precise location, SMS, call logs or unrelated device data.
How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the Journal, authenticate your account, keep records associated with the correct account and tank, synchronize and display your history, support reminders and notifications where enabled, protect the service, troubleshoot failures, and respond to account or support requests.
Where Journal Intelligence or another analysis feature is available and you choose to use it, relevant Journal information may be processed by server-side services to produce an analysis or interpretation. Generated interpretation is kept distinct from your underlying factual Journal records and is not a substitute for professional veterinary or other professional advice.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal information and the Android app does not contain advertising SDKs. We may use service providers to host, store, transmit, secure or process information only as needed to operate the service. Those providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms for the services they provide.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate abuse or security incidents, or enforce applicable terms.
Public and private records
Creating a Journal does not by itself make your private account-owned Journal records public. If a feature explicitly allows you to publish or share information, the product should make that action clear before publication or sharing.
Data retention and account deletion
We keep account and Journal information while it is needed to provide the service and until it is deleted through available account controls or deletion requests, subject to limited retention that may be necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or reliable operation.
You can request deletion through the in-app account/security controls and through the public account-deletion resource at aquaticfinder.com/account/delete. The deletion workflow is designed to remove the account and associated Journal records. A limited non-identifying deletion or idempotency receipt may be retained so repeated deletion requests can be handled safely; it is not used to recreate your deleted account or Journal history.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including encrypted network transport and secure credential handling. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Draneka Aquarium Journal is intended for general aquarium keepers and is not designed or marketed as a child-directed service. If you believe a child has provided personal information in circumstances that require deletion or other action, contact us using the route below.
Your choices
You can choose what aquarium information to record, control optional notification permission through Android settings, update available account information, and request account deletion using the paths described above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes or requirements change. The current version will be published at this URL with an updated date.
